Trying to stay calm here, Iphone
« on: 18 December 2011, 19:53 »
Why oh why did I trust Apple again  Old phone after sending it back time after time after time because of 3g not working, they gave me £310, which was pretty sh!t seems as though you can't get a new iphone for this much anyway the idiots, but mum said yes thats fine without telling me. Bought a 4 off a mate, and guess what 3g still doesn't work!!! Read up and apparently it was to do with one of the updates with several customers saying about no 3g, so obviously when I restored the 4 to my old back up which was corrupt it didnt work still. read to restore all settings, so done that and now my phone won't connect to itunes again and looks like I'm going to have to set phone up as new phone and loose everything

Why are they so sh!t for, I can't understand it, I'm in apple on tuesday so in the news you may see boy burns down apple store.

When you say the iphone wont connect to itunes do you mean it wont find it?

Try closing itunes and unplugging the phone, then go onto services in control panel and stop the apple mobile device service then start it again. Then open itunes and then plug your phone in again, it should recognize it.

why don't you make an appointment with a local apple store and get them to check it out. I have found the customer service to be exemplary and if there is a problem with the phone they swapped it out with a new one there and then.

Silly question, but have you checked whether you can receive 3G signal using other phones in the same location?

Thats why I'm going to do tomorrow, but thing is it didnt work on the 3gs and isnt on the 4, so I'm thinking it's more likely to do with 02, dont you think?  Yes me and my mum both had our phones in the same place, hers worked mine didnt. I think they may have barred my data romaing or something as I was in australia last year and bought a bolt on for it.

Did you try her sim in your phone, providing she has an iphone with microsim?
