Self inflicted death or through sheer punishment?

It continues in a stable condition, although MPG appears to be depressed in the past few weeks, for some reason.

Might be the extra drag from the poorly-fitting indicator....

Yeah im guessing the drag co-efficiency has sky rocketed with that gaping hole in the wing. So now you're not only a danger to other road users you are infact destroying the environment with your frivolous use of oil.

So, Mrs Hell takes it out this morning.

Brings it back having smashed one wiper into the other because the wiper linkage has fallen to pieces, after only +180k miles.

Shoddy.

Took it to Beaconsfield and back last week, up the M3, M25 and M40.

The side-repeater is precisely where it was when it was fitted.

Because POS car.

Fixed the wiper mech last night.  As I suspected the linkage had fallen apart.  I did have another unsuitable mech sitting around which I contemplated robbing the missing part off, but figured out would do the same again so gobbed a washer over the end of the shaft the linkage had fallen apart on.  That won'tbe coming apart again.

Dodgy indicator light and now the wiper mechanism fixed with only a washer. It's a death trap and only a matter of time before someone is killed

The indicator is still present and correct where it was clipped.

However, I was concerned my back end had been becoming increasingly mobile.  On closer inspection both rear dampers had been sick down themselves.

Thankfully a nice man had some virtually brand new Munroe dampers and showed up with them last weekend.

Out with the old:

Which included this highlight of a spring cap

Which has obviously rotted out and then cracked open.

Back end is now much tighter and is sitting a bit higher.  Might change back to the old springs, which appear to be rather more tired than those now fitted, which isn't a bad thing with new dampers under them.

Due to a lack of Corrado parts I resorted to fannying about with this tonight.

Replaced a couple of blown bulbs in the cluster, so I can see the time and mileage at night.  Also replaced the heater panel bulb, too.

Then tightened the handbrake cables, although I suspect the shoes need replacing at the back.

There's a knock from somewhere occasionally, which is annoying.  Need to inspect the rear beam bushings when the Corrado is off the ramp.

220 miles in it in the last 24 hours, up to Beaconsfield and back.

Obviously the side repeater light hasn't moved.
