Sorry to hear this, if you haven't already why don't you contact the Police and explain the situation ? I know it won't help you but it could help someone else avoid going through the same thing you are.

Feel for you bud. I would go mental if someones dog done that, wouldn't harm the dog but the owner would get taught a lesson or two. You planning on getting another. Gettin a playful wee kitten might take your mind off it. My cat went missing for 3 month last year in the 3ft of snow we had up here. Thought he was a gonner but never stopped looking for him and eventually found him and hed been ran over. Wasn't dead but was all bashed up and his jaw was broken right down the middle and sliced a nerve behind his eye. Well a year on and a substantial vet bill later 'Stigs' is now back to his usual self.

This was him after a week in the vet. Had a twisted bit of wire sticking out the bottom of his jaw to keep it together while it healed.

And this is him now. Still a bit blind in one eye though.

Sorry to hear that. I lost mine after 19 good years, she just got old and the usual organ failure took its toll. I was very upset. You really do bond well with pets, sometimes more than you can with some people.
80% of your posts are total tripe, as they are mostly replies to sh1te posts created by the morons that, unfortunately this forum attracts.

We lost our cat in January. He was a stray who appeared at our cat flap about 5 years ago looking very sorry for himself. Our present cat was not impressed that we took him in but learnt to 'tolerate' him.
Craig was a cat that thought he was a dog. Ran to the door to meet you. Licked your face in bed in the mornings (when he licked my lips I did feel a bit sick!).
Pets are always there for you whether you are happy or sad. Craig was an absolute treasure and I still miss him. People told me time does heal and it does. You won't feel that at the moment but it does get easier.
He is resting in his fave spot in the garden and he also has a large canvas of himself in our living room :)
God that the same story as mine.  :embarassed:

The thing that get me most is the hairs on the bed where it sat next to me are still there. If i let it out at night it would still be here today.  :undecided: i blame myself for its death. I put it back in as it was windy and raining.

I felt physically sick when I lost Craig.  He was poorly and not himself on the Monday.  Not eating.  Put himself to bed all week (i think he knew in a way).  My wife took him to vets on saturday morning, vet felt around and found a large tumour on his liver and going to his lungs. We only had one option. I couldn't go for the 'end', I just stayed at home and sobbed. The only thing I will say is that I have never seen him look so peaceful and beautiful.  As I said before he's resting in the garden with a cuddly toy, some cream cheese and his favourite ham :). He was 18, he needed the rest.
It does and will get better. I still say goodnight to his canvas picture though :)
