hi guys.

one question thats been on my head is, why do got to take the dash out? Is it because of the wiring that goes to the fuse box or what?

you dont need to take the dash out

you do unless you have hands as big as a cat

its to get the looms through the tiny hole. with dash in place its almost impossible to do

i also took the opportunity to tidy all my wiring behind the dash and it made it easier to do the pedal box modifications etc

its not hard to remove dash.. makes the job much more simple

I found it very easy to get the loom though to the fusebox, but I guess it would be easier to see what you were doing with the dash out. Wouldn't say it was necessary though

I'd recommend getting a diesel box, I used a DPA in mine originally and although it was good at first once used to it the gears start to feel very short. Since changing to an ASD diesel box he gears feel much more natural for the engine, and there is no noticeable loss in power (despite what people will tell you  )
