nothing major yet, it was totally standard when i bought it, 1 prev german lady owner, i have put a single lamp grill on,a boost return kit, delocked handles, and thats about it so far

reg has to change soon as i need to register it over here

a kit that returns the boost!!

i'm pretty sure it recirculates any surplus boost back into the inlet, i think it can be run through an intercooler as well to get a better mixture.

yeah pretty much. well as far as i understand anyway!!

thats what the boost return is .. the boost return KIT gets rid of the (hot, oily and grimey) returned boost air and vents to the atmosphere .. involves blanking off a hole and routing a new hose to an oil catch tank to catch the drips .. you stick a mini k&n filter in there somewhere too (how technical was that ?!? )

^^ very good mr fur, i was sort of on the right track!! i was trying to think of what john had told me!!! he's made a housing for a mk1 gti k&n panel filter to cool the return boost as well, good bit of kit! i'll introduce you to john up at inters if you want, i'm sure he'll be handy with your 'project'.
