Unsure, purchased it from the AA, slightly more than if I had got it elsewhere covered under a three year warranty so was happy with the deal.  Will post up the brand tomorrow.

Im looking at £63 for top notch Exide, with 4 year warranty. all batts have 3 or 4 year warranty, least they do from euro car parts!

is there any sure fire way to know if your battery is on its last legs ?

to answer my own question, just got an email from my local dealer who are currently running a special offer :

"We are pleased to invite you along for a FREE Vehicle Winter Check.  We’re also giving away a FREE Winter Aftercare Kit and a voucher for £20 off your next MOT Test.

During our comprehensive check we will pay particular attention to:

    Brakes
    Battery Condition
    Steering and Suspension
    Tyre Condition
And to avoid steamy windows this winter, an air conditioning temperature check is included as well.

"

Seems like a good deal so will give it a go.  Chances are that this is just a local promotion but maybe worth giving your local dealer a call to see if they have something similar on the go.
