If you want cheap insurance; get an estate.  :lipsrsealed:

Just thought, nobody has suggested any form of TDI, First TDI I had was a pug but was very insurance friendly, is that still the case?

Well, mine is cheaper to insure than the equivalent BHP petrol model, has more torque AND it saves money on fuel.

A Mk2 GTD would be fun... However, you'd look like a fücking boss rolling into the school car park in a slammed B3 Passat TDi estate.

mk2 GTD might be hard to find, the estate would be cool but a mk3 maybe easier to find...

Look for mk3 TDI's maybe?

hence my earlier suggestion was a 1.3 mk1 but then I bet the insurance on that won't be great these days.
