Cold weather would generally accentuate it.

OEM intake FTW.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

If you're still struggling next weekend give me a shout - cars on the IOW die old and there are at least a couple of Golf2s in the scrapyard down the road.

Perfect. Will let you know :)

Ohh is there meant to be a plate that goes over the top of the manifold and then a tube feeds to the inlet?

Over the exhaust manifold?

Yes. Ducts warm air to the inlet when it's cold.

I ended up flogging the pancake K&N filter I had on my old one and returned to the old OEM one with a panel filter, albeit I swiss cheesed it for the induction roar

Hope you get it sorted dude, sounds like your on the right track.

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.

Yeah going to take it off and flog it when I get an original setup.

Insulating the cabbin as well this weekend as the cold is insane in this mk2.

Bought an ABF today.

It actually annoyed me that much that it's getting ABF'd ASAP.

Stripping the engine out on Wednesday :D
