I love golfs through n through (have owned 4, n nothing else)! I have always deemed the polo as being the car you'd get if you couldn't afford a golf. So for me to say this speaks for itself :undecided:

I'm afraid to say, that it feels like VW have almost tried to rely on the brand 'golf' to sell the rather unimpressive, conservative Mk6 model. In contrast, they have invested time n money into making the polo look like an absolute beast of a car!! Now I know people will say "But what about the Golf R, etc etc" ..well, I'm not basing my decision on the sports models. Base it on what the model looks like standard.

Standard Polo = Sporty aggressive styling, edgy n contemporary.
Standard Golf = Minimal change from the Mk5, boring, no sharp lines n extremely conservative styling.

I have seen the R, n the GTI n GTD models n they look great, but on a whole, I feel that VW have got lazy with the Mk6, n invested their time n money into the Polo, which is in a more competitive market, which they want to be top dog.
