Actually cried a bit dude, reminded me of my boy getting PTS earlier in the year.

But I know how you feel, love them so much you can't let them suffer.

Remember the good times, I'm sure there are hundreds!

Actually got a small lump in my throat reading that. Sorry to hear your news mate. Not a lot anyone can say to ease the pain I'm sure but try and find some comfort in the fact you've given her a good life and enjoy the time you have left with her.

All the best mate.

Same here sorry to hear this I know how you feel we had the same with one of our boarder collies a few years ago

Such great people on here, thank you for all the very kind replies.

Well she is seeing the vet at 11.40 so an hour to go. She is lying on her bed and has been given sausages to which she munched in seconds

Feel for you, had mine put to sleep a few years back now but it was probably one of the worse times of my life.  I was going to give it a year before I got another but 5 months later another chocolate labrador joined the family and made life seem good again.
Hope you can remember the good and happy times you all spent together and know that your dog is now at peace.
All the best.

Thanks again everyone, what a top bunch we have on here.

She was put to sleep just before 12 lunch today.  Feel a bit numb and tired, fallen asleep twice on the sofa in the past few hours!
