Looks like i figured it out first 

I got 3 days out of it until this morning when i had to charge

I have done the settings that Jules posted and with constant heavy use (playing 3D games on the train to and from work, wifi on ALL day and being used, phone and texts) my battery easily lasts a day.

I think some people find it far to easy to just complain rather than trying to resolve an problem. No issues with me.

When they make an iphone that lasts more than a day with heavy usage then i'll be impressed, until then, as long as it does last the day, I don't care Charge every night and its not a problem.

Good news!  Its an IOS 5 bug.

I suspected it was a bug because I have owned a 3G, 4 and now a 4S and the 4S is by far the worst battery life of the 3 and it is supposed to have a better battery!

And I don't use it any differently than my 4 really, so something's wrong.

iSO 5 5.0.1 released now, so hopefully the problem has been solved!
