So the sun doesn't reflect off the dash and blind you

Really?? I've never had that problem, must be the cleaning products I use.

I can see it being a problem though with different manufacturers etc.

The dash reflects back on to the windscreen, essentially reducing visability. I've considered this or anything to stop the bloody thing!  :grin:

I dont get that problem, mind you mine is covered in about half an inch of dust and fag ash!  :grin:

Yea I noticed you can't really sell a standard golf dash lol I did the flocking myself as was different from carbon wrapping that people were doing etc. May just chuck it on eBay in a few weeks when iv got the new dash in, see what it goes for.

Very bizarre looking, is that a stick on covering and is its sole purpose to stop reflection onto the window?

It's to stop glare from the sun and the reflection of the dash on the windscreen, it's motorsport use really, although I love the look of it personally  :cool:

And I think it's done by applying a positive charge on the flock and then a negative charge on the dashboard which is covered in glue, then the flock sticks. That's how a guy who does them said he did them anyway  :undecided:
