gti to ed30
« on: 21 October 2011, 20:09 »
currently driving a manual golf gti for the last year with revo stage 1 and love it, but always wanted  ed30, planning on getting one very soon, Has any one on here gone from a gti to a ed30 and wish the had not, due to more turbo lag or other reasons, thanks in advance

I have not driven a standard mk5 gti , but i do own a gti edition30 with a revo stage1 remap. The stock edition30 is a great car , but with a remap it's just awesome. It's a very tuneable engine. Im sure you will have zero regrets buying one

Ive got a normal gti, not drove a ed30 but cant see you ever regretting it. Its just basically a gti made better. Doubt the lag is noticeable all vag engines seem to pick up well. Especially a ed30 mapped i bet its a world apart from normal gti mapped.

I think aslong as you get a similar spec or better spec ed30 you wouldn't regret it.

I sold 2 STD GTi's just over a year, one of them only owning it for 3 weeks !!Sold it as the Edition30 is such a nicer car. full leather in the std GTi is awful looking when it ages, and the normal fabric seats again aren't the best. Ed30 seats are the best of both.

On the road, there is so much more better looking road presence about them.

Ed30 with a good spec with 5 doors and dsg IMO is a hard to beat all rounder for all occasions

Much better looking car, and tuning its an absolute must.

The one your looking at is rather overpriced for a basic version, with little extra's and only good thing is low mileage, but a 4 year old car with such low mileage in my eyes is worse then one that's done at least 45k at that age.

no question is my answer...
