noisy wiper blades, any remedies?
« on: 13 October 2011, 16:17 »
Bit of a general problem, anyone got solutions?

Even with fresh blades they still dont behave perfectly. On my mk2 they skipped/flapped about a bit as they wipe, didnt make much excess noise though. On my Hilux the new drivers blade squeaks unless its raining hard (I use wipers sparingly, i.e. not on full in light rain).

Ive tried bending in the wiper arms slightly to puch them onto the screen a little more, but no joy....

Get some car polish and polish your window. Not only will it give it a good clean, it will be silky smooth

Search and you'll find this: http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=206665.0

Alternatively, ask one of the knowledgeable chaps in the detailing section.

Vinegar on the wiper blades apparently works too.
