New FMDV008 diverter valve
« on: 13 October 2011, 08:51 »
Thoughts and opinions on these?

Tuners, any logs to prove that these hold boost for longer as they have better seals?

Apparently the vacuum chamber is smaller so they react quicker as well?

Response from Forge was

"Hello, the volume inside the top of the valve has been reduced from the OEM Bosch valve and the 007, and also the cross-sectional area of the top of the piston has been increased so the movement of the piston is quicker as the car goes from boost to vacuum. "

Only way to fine out would be do a 1/4mile power run on the dyno and watch the shift points, as all the dv is doing is making the shift much crisper,  the oem N valve is good for a 300+bhp power run and will give the same results as the 007p, but the 007p is much better in the lift off shift area.

I will order one tomorrow and play with it on a few customers car.

Could one of the customers cars be mine please

Would be interesting to see what mine does a 1/4 mile dyno run in....Can you do an estimated 0-60 of mine as well?
