Bit of an update, was bored the other day and was reading something on web regarding changing the pins around in the lock barrels on VW's to match you key so found out a spare glovebox barrel so stripped mine and that 1 down and matched the pins up so i can now lock and unlock my glovebox super cool i know..... NOT LOL.

A few weeks ago i bought a highline centre console of Ebay but the guy who sold me like an idiot didnt bother sending the fixing bracket, and stripped the gaitor from the handle. so been abit in the air with what to do with it and after a trip to VW this week found out you cant buy the handle seperately but the whole thing is still available for £68 odd if anyones interested lol. Anyway managed to find someone on ebay selling a wrecked handle with leather grip so bought that and hopefully should be able to strip that and pull mine over top.
Anyways took the gaitor off the console the other day as it was grubby and coming lose, i re-glued the gaitor to the frame and used some Autoglym leather cleaner and leather cream, its come up great i think!

Exciting i know but get the easy stuff out the way before start the body work. Had something arrive in the post this week also:

Gunna start doing the front end over next week so watch this space. Like i said had a trip or two up to VW this week and ordered some gear:

Ordered some new clips for scuttle cover, new pollen filter, Steering wrack gaitor and very happy to say that lovely panel in the picture is a genuine panel to repair that big bodged mess on the drivers side floor, also waiting on the passenger side to come from germany at mo so should look like new when i get chance to weld it in! priced up some sills but at £120 odd a side for half a sill i thought id leave them .

Where did you get yours mate? i havent really looked to hard at mo but i know eurowagons do sills for £29.95 and arches for £28.90.
What did you pay for your arches aswel?  know yours are 5 door but cant imagine much difference in price.

Got them off ebay from national-spares. The sill and both rear arches were £15 each. Obviously they don't just slide on and needed a bit of manipulation to get them right but once thats done you would never know the difference.
