I need to sort my passport out, expired in 2008. I read online that there is a quicker way to do it through the post office, will pop in on Saturday.

If its shadys passport why is chelsea payign for it?! bloody freeloaders   :lipsrsealed:

I'm pretty sure I never had an interview for my first adult passport, but that was 8 or 9 years ago so things might have changed. Ring up the passport on the number on the gov website and ask them, they do different levels of service  its not just 1 day or 3-4 weeks.

The 1 day service is good though, I had my appointment at 9am and was cruising around southern France the same night

edit: Though I just found this on the gov passport site

Allow six weeks for a first adult passport

In most cases you will need to attend a passport interview, so Fast Track and Premium services don't apply. The timings in this section are for other applications.
