I'm not sure if the door leather inserts should be there or not but combined with the leather armrest it looks like a production intent.

Great choice of car and colour

I think eventually leather will become standard in the R, as it did with the last R32's .... so the leather door inserts and armrests are perhaps intentionally standard with all R's - but who knows VW thoughts
