Door inserts are suppose to be that way after looking at the new broucher i have.

I think eventually leather will become standard in the R,  as it did with the last R32's .... so the leather door inserts and armrests are perhaps intentionally standard with all R's  -  but who knows VW thoughts  :rolleyes:

I'd dearly love an R, particularly in Rising Blue. Seriously smart piece of kit. My only problem with it (as has been said many times before) is price. Great summary mate, I agree with all of it.  When the used ones start coming down in price it's going to be a tough call between an R and an S4, tbh though I think the S4 will get my vote in the end.

This one just arrived in the Dubai showroom. Fully loaded - GBP 27,000 new.

Looks good in white.
