Thanks Neil

I'm thinking silver is the right choice too - will have to save Anthracite for another day!

I've sent you a PM re the wheels guy in York (only an hour away for me so that's good)

Winter tyres are now starting to trend upwards in price, wonder what they will do now that snow is forecast this weekend up here in Jockland. It's meant to fall as far south as Perth with 'flutters' across the central belt

Dose civilisation not stop at Perth while the Republic Of Sheepland begin ? Thought it was more husky dogs and sledges up way beyond rather than winter tiers

I've been holding off waiting for the temperatures to drop a bit before the winter tyres go on.
On Tuesday I put them on - and on Wednesday and today the temp display has had a snowflake!

Anyway - here's a pic of them on...

Golf R... 3 door, DSG, Leather, Reflex Silver, Black 19" Talladega Wheels, ACC, Parking Sensors, RNS510 with Dynaudio, Reverse Camera, Luxury Pack, Cruise Control & Fiscon Bluetooth.

^^ they look good.

I had 2.5C on the temp gauge today - I'm aiming to get mine on this weekend now - I think the weather has (at last) turned.

Thanks... I'm quite pleased with them.  They don't look too bad for a set of winter rims.  Skoda vRS wheels that cost about £80 each off eBay - and then were powder coated in anthracite to make them a little different from my Talladegas.
I had 2.5C this morning too - and apparently its supposed to drop down to -4 over the next few days.  'Apparently' its supposed to have snowed for the last few weeks though - so who knows?!

Just had to make another post - I'd seen what my post count was !!!

What size rims are the winters? They look like 18s and fill the arches nicely

The number of the beast!!

Yeah, they're 18's.  The good thing is that being a genuine VAG group wheel, they have an ET51 (my Talladegas are ET50) so they're a perfect fit.
An inch smaller and 1/2 inch less wide.  That's about as much as I was prepared to sacrifice!!
