I believe your cohort is suggesting what you were actually looking for was less 'mainstream'.
The car mings. Rear windows look hideous and way out of proportion.

I think ming is a bit harsh. It reminds me of Fords attempt at this with a mk2 escort which in comparison was far more hideous and almost hearse like ( I used to like them too once!)
. Admittedly the rear windows are out of proportion but comparing them against the fronts including the quarters they're actually not too far off, unlike the escort.
Considering this is some dude in his garage I think he's done cracking job. I think it would be better judged as a complete car/finished item. If I was looking for something less mainstream, I certainly found it.
