'Pump the pedal continuously with the nipple wide open (or removed),enough for air/fluid to pump through.Pump like mad and keep fluid topped up.Every 50 pumps or so do the nipple back up,pump it 20 times or so and retighten (repeat until you get pressure on pedal)'

I might go try this, looks like my cars gonna be stranded here at work tonight! Might be a daft question but i keep the resevoir lid off when im doing this yeah??

Yes,keep the lid of.Lid only stops it spilling when in motion and keeps dirt out, does'nt come in to the pressure side of things.

I'm off to see if i can find any info on how your system is set up.Will be back when i know more.

From what i can make out the 16v has a basic set up.I guess your master cylinder must be next to your brake master cylinder and has a pipe going from it to the slave cylinder ?.If that's correct and the pipe joining the two is fitted nice and tightly and wo'nt let air in then all you have to do now is bleed it .

Once a system has been opened to the air it can be a pig to get it out but in time it will happen.
