rotiforms are for sale...

well gents, i was adament that i wasnt going to put any pics up of the car now until ud's, but the simple fact is, even if i get the car ready, i still wont be able to get it there as i cant afford to tax, mot and insure it ready for the show... so im gonna bang some more pictures up of all my hard work over the last few weeks, and a great big post about my old mans car, he has been grafting like a mad man on it and ive never taken any pics, so your in for abit of a treat this update :)

so...

i chose the colour for my engine bay, and i went against every single one of you ... the reason for this... well, it had been my plan to colour code the engine bay from the first day i considered smoothing the bay, although red would have been nice, i thought, if im doing all this hard work, i want to stand out, and shock a little, maybe you'll like it, maybe you wont, but ive always followed my own trend and stuck with my own ideas, and they have never steered me wrong...

Now you must remember when looking at these pictures that i have NEVER, prepped, mixed or sprayed paint before, nor have i ever mixed filler before, so to say i am CHUFFED TO BITS with the results, is an understatment!!!

so enjoy...

me spraying...

after a few layers

after the bay has been flatted and buffed, i also trial fitted a wing a gave that a buff up just to see it all together and the colour contrast, also banged on the sunbframe to have a good look... and i am HAPPY!

also got the underside of the rear all paint up, and the stainless tank straps are coming today...

shot under the front arch...

and a random shot of some of the other bits yet to go on...

and thats pretty much it for mine for now, but heres some of my dads, not much talking, just enjoy the pictures :)

the engine all ready to go in...

and its going in there... he has de rusted the legs, replaced all the bushes, bolts, wishbones, subframe, cleaned and painted everything all ready...

making sure its all ready to go...

going home...

close now...

engine mount bolts in...

all down on the mounts, and looking great...

and finally, some other random pics of the work hes done...

and there you go gents, we have put some mega hours into both these cars over the last few weeks, we have both set our sights on the elescar mega meet, so if your there make sure you come along and have alook, cheers all, hope you enjoyed the pics :D
