I will look at something of that kind of standard next time round :) Trust me when I say I don't do many miles a week and to be honest, they are better then the cheap crap I have on my Lenzos lol!

Got Nankangs on the front of mine, dont listen to the ditch finder comments, I like to drive my cars hard and I have never found a ditch

Yes there are better tyres on the market but they are far from crap as long as you buy new and not part worn

drive you car hard hahaha... now that is funny!!

mate they are probably one of the worst brands of the lot.. i had some on my GTI when i got it, swapped them for some other budget rubbers that were on anoter set of GTI rims and the difference was massive - and that was another set of budgets.. once i swapped to a premium tyre it was just night and day, and not on about high speed driving, I'm on about normal driving, cornering, breaking, driving in rain, ice etc

You would not be able to drive your golf hard with the tyre set up you have on that red golf anyhow.. the fronts are just too small with too much stretch for hard driving

Non genuine Ebay specials ??

Nankangs - ditch finders

id have chosen a better tyre mate

100 % agree, take it easy on them in the wet.
I bought two for the front of my Mk2 as I was on a serious funds issue at the time, they got swapped to the back after one week...

I would say your wrong Brad

Its drives spot on, since the front has been set up proper and the tracking has been sorted its drives great

I have a really good blast upto my grand parents every other day (includeds twisting country roads with Pot holes and plenty of round abouts to throw it round, Never lost a sump  )

Its my daily driver now so gets plenty welly as I have broken my S60 twice in 2 weeks

As I said there Not the best on the market but there not bad for the money as long as you buy new

you need to drive my car or a similar car with decent tyre set up etc, then you will realise how bad yours is handling wise.. does not matter how yu have had it set up if your running a wheel/tyre/stretch combo that you have

i do a lot more mileage than you, no way run those tyres and i certainly wouldn't wana stretch them making them even worse. and you have some major stretch on your fronts so theirs very little tread on the road.. Scary stuff IMO.. get that combo in the Wet or in ICE and id be fearing for mine or my passengers lives

id rather spend a bit more then i know I'm safe, ESPECIALLY running stretch

Wow, didn't mean to start a debate lol!

Thanks for you opinions guys, I appreciate it all. I will eventually get better tyres but for now they will have to do :) from then I can see how they sit, if I need to go for a different profile or width to get the stance right etc. This is not a performance vehicle and I don't drive it like one so they will be fine for the time being!

Merry Christmas guys :)
