Hi there. 14s will look pretty small on a mk3. Iv got 17s on mine and its lowered 40 mil. The wheels nicely fill the arches and looks real smart

good move buying a mk 3. Many people will dissagree with me Im sure as the mk1 and 2 contingent on here are pretty strong!

Will we see you at Inters on the 7-8th May?

Phil

thats the best mk3 ive seen..ever! its just clean and subtle..

15s are the stock size on a normal mk3 gti / 16v / vr6 (apart from the anniv which come with 16's) . they just look small
Used to have a '97 MK3 16v GTI 3dr in 'Black Magic'... now have a '55 Civic Type-S...

Could do. Would stand out as not too many people are doin the euro look on the mk3 but think there will be a lot of room either side of the wheels in the arches. Also the money you save on smaller wheels will be spent twice over with having to do all the arch work and buying an expensive lowering kit.

Go for biggger hun, not always better, but in this case.. it just is!

Hi there. Got a Mk3 (as pictured). Its dropped 30mm on 17's with fully adjustable Spax and Eibach (hope thats spelled right) springs. As you can see the wheels sit just neatly inside the arches. Put the rear adjustables right up over the weekend to stop the rear rubbing on severe bumps etc. Apart from that its a great ride, not too hard and I recon it looks the biz!! Im a real fan of big alloys. Gives the car a real meaty look.
