Not trying Hi-jack but I make headlight looms for Corrado's. Been doing it for 8 years and have a very good reputation on the Corrado forum.
I've made a few for Mk1s and 2s and T4s and alsorts really.
Is there still interest out there for these?
I charge £57 posted for Corrado looms and they come with fitting instructions, although they are easy to fit to early Golfs.

My looms are made with 3 relays and are fully heat-shrunk.

Like previously mentioned here, the parts cost £30 and they take a couple of hours to make.

Fair do's mate, wasn't being offensive, I considered making my own, but with the time titting about for all the parts, good quality ones as well, it made more sense to buy one already done. Mine only has two relays, sure, and is in mini-copex, not heat shrink, but it is of very good quality, all oem connectors, relays + holder, copex, cable etc etc for £32 I couldn't see the point in making the time to do it (I'm an electrician btw). It also looks good under the bonnet, blends in nicely.

I feel the same about fitting around to save a few quid. I've been doing them on the C forum and never had anyone complain about the price but they are really good quality but I'm sure one you bought does just as good a job.

I consider £10 and hour fair money. The guy who makes them for £32 must buy in massive bulk or get cheaper than me. I do it for a bit of spends and until now have never had spare time.

I'm an Aircraft Electrical Engineer by trade and all my work is to an extremely high standard.

Priced up the parts "in bulk" and then just decided not to bother as the one I bought was also just over £30.00 and I'm not making some to loose money on!!

Yeah that's it, when people start punting them with pretty much free labour + part sourcing, I'd rather work an extra couple of hours to pay for a set. Yours are obiously more costly in materials and labour, and to a higher standard, warranting a higher price. I went for a happy medium of price vs quality vs function, which my set seemed to offer.  Both options better than a cheap set of H.I.D's for sure

if you get a cheep ebay loom in your hands you'll see why it's cheep.

i wouldn't even try and make a loom id be happy with for sub 30 quid,  i've seen them useing about the nastyest wire going with 2nd hand relays and wire just solderd to the relay with a littel bit of cheep heatshrink over it. and you have to cut wires to install.  feck that

i do quite a few looms at work an they cost a damb sight more but there done right,   with H4 plug and sockets ect  so just plugs in and relays in watertight boxes
