How long after your is delivered to the dealer is it before you can collect your car?

I had mine in two days, the dockyards try and get rid of them to the dealerships in 48hours.  Depends how hard you badger the dealer.  They only PDI and give it a clean + tax and paperwork e.t.c.

On Order: Mk8 R, Pure White, Reversing Camera, Harmon Kardon, Heated seats all round.
Gone: Mk7.5 R, 5dr, DSG, Deep Pearl Black, 18” Cadiz, Nav, Winter Pack, Keyless, Dynaudio and Reversing camera.
Gone: Mk7 R, 5dr, DSG, Limestone Grey, 19" Pretoria's, Nav Pro, DCC, Winter Pack, Keyless, Mobile Prep and Reversing Camera.
Gone: Mk6 GTD, 5dr, Manual, Tornado Red, 18" Vancouvers, RCD510 + Dynaudio, heated seats.

Save both time & your car's paintwork by telling your dealer not to clean it/protect it :wink: I think we can safely say they wouldn't know the 2 bucket method if it slapped them in the face!

^ Agreed, first thing I did when I got my Audi home was undo all the mess their machine polisher created.

Dealer rang me to say mine was on the ship, did,nt say if was sailing though ha ha. Not long now

Dealer rang me today and car has landed at my local port(Tyne). Dealer is only about 3 miles away. What is PDI, Pre Dispatch Inspection? and how long does it take?

PDI is pre delivery inspection (stage 17). So your in the bottom left of the delivery cycle (stage 15 to stage 20) on that graph above.
Delivery by Benfield by any chance?
