headlight problem
« on: 02 August 2011, 20:54 »
Hi,the guy i bought my Tdi from as hacked the headlight wiring
to fit some Morette headlights, he also fitted some wierd switch with 3 buttons on the dash??
Trouble is each time you put full beam on the headlights go off .there`s some kind of relay wired to them near the battery. Any ideas how to correct it,thinking of replacing them with GTi ones. Thanks

Might be better to scrap the switch / wiring and put it back to standard.

Easy enough to pick up a s/h lighting loom and switch

Normally Morrettes are just a play and play fitting!
So see what you have and ditch the bodge job.
