My point was that the engine is not the only thing you need to change. You will be dropping a lump in that is designed to run 175 bhp (ish) into a car that has suspension and brakes designed for a 115 bhp car.    Spot the difference Mate.

Fair enough you are fitting coilovers and a VR engine and box. If you can afford to do this then don't moan about the insurance costs

Did I just read that right?? Don't moan about the insurance costs?? You avin my eyes out or suttin? The whole point of this thread was to express my anger towards insurance companies who hike the price up just because of what I am doing!! And of course for saying the engine is modified when clearly it aint the engine is factory standard!! Insurance companies need to re-address their terms of modifications!

Next time read and understand the post propperly before going on one! Yeah??

How many GTI's came from the factory with a VR lump ??  You are modifying the car by changing a standard item for a non standard item. The fact it is a VW engine means bugger all.  Good on the insurance companies for keeping numptys from just changing engines to increase output

So you have to lower to insulting someone do we dean? Oh how little you know bruv!! Quite clearly you have had to resort to your last form of defence by using an insult!! What's happened didn't like my last reply which put you on your arse because you can't read properly? Well I'm sorry to burst your bubble but I'm taking the moral high ground here!
