right guys im sure this has been asked b4 but im wanting to know what fuel is left when the light comes on , normaly i just put petrol in once i get near 1/4 of tank in all my other cars but im trying to gague how much fuel my new golf is using. when i got it the chap who dropped it off told me it was very close to running out so i should pit some in asap . i went to garage and put 10 quid in , witch was all the cash i had on me and it did take thew light off but with in 10 miles it was back on. my car is tuned and remapped etc but i was driving very sensibly so to find out the cost of running it , what im wondering is whats left in the tak when light comes on ....... other wise it looks like im getting bout 20 mile to 10 quid and thats rubbish ...... but lets say the car still got 8 liters left at the 1st sign of the light then it will prob get 40 to a tenner...... im not wanting to know miles really as that would differ a lot between cars , im sure vw will have set the light to come on when the tank he "x" amount of fuel left .
my last car had 50 miles left on fuel light for example
