Much as I agree with DH and Chuff I can't see Joe rolling in TDI polo as his only car.

For that money he can roll in the polo during the week and keep the 2 as a toy forthe weekends

Plus looks wise 5 door A3s look as though they are stretched...MK5 golfs actually look as good in 5 door as they do in 3 format IMO.

And as for the trim quality...okay, bits n pieces in the 5 are worse but all this rubber door grabs is shocking...they all peel and scuff real easy. The one thing the tougher door card and dash on the 5 is better for is resisting scuffs which is useful when you have kids.

That's because you're cool!

I still own mine and I am not cool.

Point well made.

That's because you're cool!

The last time I heard someone being referred as "cool" I was watching Happy Days.

Ayyye!

Hmmmm, must get down with the kids..... baddass is probably more "with it", or sick.

Do it mate I love my 140.. It's not exactly fast but I didn't expect it to be and after a remap will be a lot better and even with coilovers fully wound down it's still pretty comfy and it's only got teething problems at 133k.. And the dsg box is so comfy for driving in traffic and such..

With regards to the cylinder head problem I know a lot seemed to have suffered but mines been fine and no history of having it changed from Audi and mines on a 04 plate..

Good luck with the choice

THIS

One car is more than enough for me, as and when i find the right replacement Ive got a new home lined up for the mk2 and it will be in good hands

I know some may think im crazy or a wally or both, which well is true but after test driving the car last night, even though that one isnt the right one it has made my mind up that i want a newer car again

But again quite the debate it has sparked here!
