What shall i go for?
« on: 16 July 2011, 22:18 »
Hi all,

in the near future im going to invest in a new toy... Golf GTI mk2. This will be my car i shall spend money on and a small project.

my question is, with it not being my day to day car (so fuel isnt a major problem) which enguine shall i go for? Which is more fun to drive and will i get best results with?

I may even think about turning it into a track car.

16v is quicker than the 8v but im not 100% sure on the stats of these. Wich would be best for me?

Dont really fancy the VR6 tbh

(if iv posted in wrong section im sorry, im new and just need a little help :D)

cheers in advance guys

Yup, it's the 2.0 16v engine found in a Mk3. As Wayne said it's 150bhp and isn't heavy enough to unbalance the car too much

I don't see the point in the 2.0 conversion. All you've gained is 11bhp.
80% of your posts are total tripe, as they are mostly replies to sh1te posts created by the morons that, unfortunately this forum attracts.
