I wonder what the legal status of garage door openers are?

http://forums.speedguide.net/showthread.php?130321-Garage-Door-Opener-that-Jams-Laser-Radar.

Well the police could take you and check that it opens your garage door.

Don't think they would, as it's not illegal to have a garage door opener.

yes but if you get caught you have to prove you use it for opening your garage door

No you don't, as it's not illegal to have one. There may be many reasons, such as it opens a mates door, or it's the last owners.

80% of your posts are total tripe, as they are mostly replies to sh1te posts created by the morons that, unfortunately this forum attracts.

Didn't say it was illegal to have one, but you do have to prove a legit usage of it.
People who have them purely for jamming the laser detector have been prosecuted for perverting the course of justice.
And besides, they make a note of your reg when the laser gets jammed any way. If it happens a lot they have been known to turn up at peoples houses

Laser detectors are no good, as by the time the device detects a laser the police have already got your speed. They only work if there is someone is in front of you as they do pick up some laser scatter.

And as for the cameras, well if you can't read roadsigns and see bright yellow boxes, you shouldn't really be driving

Just maybe you can concentrate more on your driving rather than looking out for Fu*kin Speed Cameras everywhere you go .

I use a Pogo Alert and its worth its weight in gold  my licence is clean been driving for 20yrs  :smug: :smug: :smug: no I don't speed , but its so easy to go over 30mph in a gti .

Tiguan quicker than the Golf

Not sure on this, I whipped my police book out and it mentioned nothing about jammers:
