There are only really two rules, stop completely, and don't think you can just have the odd one.
Stick to them and you'll be clean

I WANTED TO QUIT!!

That is why you are succeeding. The best thing to do from experience is just take one day at a time, and DON'T have the odd fag, you will get hooked again instantly.

I quit for a year, then once I reached that mile stone I thought, hmmm, one won't hurt.
Now I'm smoking again. But nowhere near as much as I was, before I quit I would go through 50g of Golden Virginia in 5 days

quit 11 months ago myself, was a 20 Regal Filter a day man, was in the shop the other day with my mate and bought 20 marlboro lights and it was £7.20 :O couldnt believe it, glad I quit...

hardest part is when your having a drink, well i find that still tough cos its so easy to give in when the beer is in lol

best of luck and hope ya stay smoke free :) £50quid a week more towards the golf :)

I gave up on the 1st October 2010 after 15 years when I found out I had a skin cancer and once you get it in your lungs you’re not getting rid of it. A scare definitely gives you the determination to never go back to it.

I still fancy a cigarette every now and again and I don't think that will ever go away being an ex smoker. I hope I never go back to it now after so long as I will feel so disappointed in myself and I know after giving up before for 3 months, 1 cigarette will lead to another and before you know it you will be back smoking full time.
