Ok, I may have over done it with the evil bit, but it's the only plan I've got so I'm gona run with it. I don't as yet own a golf but the afor said plan is to buy an engine soonish and tune the t**s off of it then in the spring buy a MKII GTI, slip the engine in, in a non sexual way and go looking for things to race. By race i do of course mean watch in the rear view mirror. The actual building, fitting ect is no problem but what i do lack is knowledge, I would really appreciate some advice as to whats doable, I like the idea of putting a 2liter bottom end and a flowed 16v head together with the help of some huge cams and a few lightened and balanced bits. If anyone can recommend any good suppliers of tuning bits or has any  useful bits for sale please let me know. In the mean time i think ill go clear a space in the garage.

Lots planned then.. Welcome to the forum.. You'll probably find a lot of useful information in the MK2 section.  Plenty of people who can help with questions too.
