As far as I can tell, V-Power is only available in the US. Note that the UK and US use a different unit of measurement for knock Resistance (RON and DON).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petrol#Octane_rating

Note that filling up with 100 RON petrol if we ever get it, WILL NOT make your car perform better, unless the engine was designed for it.

the RON rating is a measure of the fuels ability to resist pre-ignition due to combustion. NOT the amount of power available from burning.

... it's turned into a fashion show for poofters.

The city of round-abouts is selling it at 92.9p - I am thinking of buying some shares in Shell in order gain some return with all the Shell users here onboard

Even t'up north the price is a rip off, filled up last night, 91.9p a litre ! WTF ! At least Dick Turpin wore a mask eh !  You know it's getting bad when the price display on the pump nearly goes round as fast as the litre display.  If this was the USA there would be out and out anarchy, they get pissed off when they pay 35c a litre or something.  Rant over.

89.9p in Norwich.

I always used Optimax for my S13 due to it being a turbo and slightly fettled... without it, I'd get det and thats not good :(

on the Golf I can't see why optimax would make a difference unless you altered the timing to suit it?  :undecided:

It's about 98.9 In Reading.  TBH my car runs well enough on 95RON BP (Standard unleaded) and being a 1.6 carb engine I don't see much reason in using optimax or ultimate.

Don't know if applicable to digi's, but it's reckoned that K-Jet engines should run on a higher RON.

Ahh, that would make some sence then :)

I know optimax is a better quality of fuel, so either way it's nicer to use :) I had a Mk1 MR2 wich I altered the timing for optimax, seemed a little bit more responsive, but not enough to really go through the hassle again :)
