Took the car out to the get myself a hair cut yesterday, which was only a 10min journey. Noticed a reoccurance of the yellow light that resembles a engine on the dash. Looked it up as a exhaust management fault. Parked up... came back to the car 30mins later and it wouldnt start.

RAC called... they couldnt start it either. The car was towed back to and now rests with VW!

sh!t car, sh!t engine, sh!t service... and the last new VW i will ever buy
[/b]

it's a lease car isn't it, so still isn't yours lol

being serious though, I bet your happy it's not yours and you can walk away from it in this case.

pain in the arse as it's more about inconvenience then Buying another VW.

Hope it gets sorted soon as pal

The MK6 reliability seems no worse from what I can see, just the odd one with very bad experiences.  The people who have bad experiences speak louder than those who don't.

Adrian: You are quite wicked as you instigated it. I laugh at a much smaller Blackberry screen which is even more odd.

Now back to this burning topic! Can you imagine Gilly whizzing around in a demented state in his mother's cute Cleo? A sight to dream of and not to tell!

The clio is great to drive... and the economy is an added bonus!

As for VW's yes they do sell the hype well and for those of you who like to mollycuddle your cars its a good choice. However for those of us who look for workhorse type attributes the GTI admittedly fails.

As for BMW's.... they are fantastically reliable providing they get driven lots. The complete opposite of the mk6 it seems.
