Guys,

Just thought I'd throw myself into the fold..

Whilst there are some already well established tuners on this forum, we are equally a credible player in this space.  Premier Tuning can tune both old and new generation ECU's and our software is developed in house by our software partner Elite Remaps.  All our software carries a lifetime warranty and we do not charge for returning your vehicle to stock should the need arise (client must bring car to base).

Our latest generation of Dynocom 5000 all wheel drive dyno is based at the Elite Remaps site in Leeds (LS13 4LY) - charges for a power run are £60 for 2WD and £75 for 4WD (inc VAT)

All our website pricing includes travel to you.  For any new generatin protected ECU's, please contact us directly for a price and mention GolfGTI.co.uk for a preferential rate.

Our approach to tuning is very responsible.  We always aim to leave a safe power reserve in the engine and aim to get the best rather than the most out of an engine.  We can provide bespoke dyno tuning, but we recommend this only for modified cars where changes to turbo chargers, injection, cooling, cam profiles etc etc have been made.  Our published power figures are also realistic.  Making the most power out of an engine is rarely the best way to tune a car, we spend time to achieve linear and progressive power (always available and smooth in delivery).

For standard road cars, we have already perfected our software in house.  There is plenty of independant genuine feedback on both Elite Remaps and Premier Tuning, so please feel free to Google us or pop by the Leeds site for a chat.

I am about to introduce a special rate of £199 for those cars that come to me directly i.e. no travel to client.  Please contact me directly with enquiries (applies only to cars we can tune via OBD).

I'm sure there is plenty I've missed, please feel free to call/email with any enquiries.

Cheers

Fahad

Many thanks Craig - yep not new to VW's or the forum, just thought it was time to formalise it a bit (so thanks for the prompt) ;)

Apologies this is a straight copy/paste from my own forum but it may interest some of you.

So.. we've finally found the time to get some proper runs on the Accord today, now that we're happy the Dyno software is perfectly setup.

The purpose of the exercise today was not to tweak any software, merely to dyno run the 2 different stages we've been installing on customer cars to demonstrate the power curves and outputs.

Ideally, to be completely scientific we would have wanted to have perfect conditions on the day, clean filters, fuel etc and at least 100 miles run between each map install to ensure the ECU learnt properly.. but we didn't have the time today.

Nevertheless, the results are excellent and we're satisfied that the curves are more or less spot on (and in line with what we expected).  The only observation I would make is that towards the end, the power figures have dropped ever so slightly due to engine heat (and we simply didn't have time to wait an hour between runs) but you are talking maybe 1 or 2bhp on the stage 2 (that was run #3 and the engine was pretty hot by then)..

For the more discerning amongst you, you will want to cast your eyes over the power curves and the torque figures to understand how long we manage to sustain the torque curves B)  Also note that we have used zero correction factors.  Some companies like to use correction to compensate (i'm not saying its a bad thing - we've just chosen to publish clean unmolested figures here).  If you were to use for example a 1.04% correction (we've allowed the software to make the calculation for 1.04%) and you can add +5bhp and 9NM to the figures.  Even without correction, you should be suitably impressed I would say ;)

The final point to note is that the accuracly of our dyno is demonstrated in power run #1 where the test car (my car) is making almost exactly what Honda said it should make on a stock map.  This car is on 96k miles and I think that's just testament to Honda's engineering that it's lost virtually no power in 7 years and 96k miles.  It's also important as it demonstrates the true power gains as opposed to looking at gains on a car that is already 7 or 8 bhp up on what should be stock...

Anyway, I'll let the charts do all the talking..

All 3 stages (with EGR ON) plotted here:

And for your viewing pleasure, this is the special Stage 2 with EGR OFF I've been playing with the for the last 4k miles or so (I think I'm keeping) ;)

Cheers for now...

EDIT - I note its hard to see the figures unless you zoom in (or its my eyesight)

Stock Map:   137.4 bhp & 252 lbft (or 151.1 bhp @ crank and 277.2 lbft)

Stage 1:        159.8 bhp & 284 lbft (or 175.8 bhp @ crank and 312.5 lbft)

Stage 2:        170.5 bhp & 299 lbft (or 187.5 bhp @ crank and 328.8 lbft) - note this is a couple of bhp lower than expected but we put it down to heat

Stage 2 with EGR OFF:  174.4 bhp & 308.8 lbft (or 191.8bhp @ crank and 339.7 lbft)

Thinking about it, the other things to note here are that the Pipercross filter probably makes no difference to power (although I need to do a run with stock filter to see) and V Power Diesel probably has no effect on power (but I'll keep using it anyway)..

It's nice to see a Honda on a dyno

Nice figures too - I'll asking you for Honda files then

Cheers bud - I guess you could call the Honda diesel range my signature car.. but of course we tune everything as you would expect and VAG's (old and new) are regular business for us.

The best bit about this particular Honda range is that we're achieving a very usable and balanced 40bhp and some 63lb ft from a quality remap (no other modifications).

very usable and balanced

Music to my ears

Did you remove the EGR or code it out?
