Answer from them is that I am entitled to a refund on two counts:
1. Distance selling regulations.
2. Sales of goods act as the car was not as described.
They also told me that I'm also covered by my VISA debit card to get a chargeback just on the distance selling part as apparently you can just change your mind at any point within 7 days of payment regadless of the sales of goods act.
When I get to the end of this I'll make a "how to" from the information I get.
BONUS ITEM - they register the trader details every time they a complaint for further investigation, they loved the pretend JCT600 stamp in the service book
I know it's only £100 quid but it's the fact the cheeky chap told me
I was a timewaster when it was clearly him.
