not bad going

been away over the weekend with the missis in liverpool (thats a whole new thread) decided to take the golf up with us to give her a run so chucked £30 in her expecting to have to refill her at somepoint but on returning this evening had a quick check of the MFA (fuel computer) and this is what she has returned over the entire journey.
not bad for a 21 year old golf gti with 143k on the clock, there not many modern hot hatches with the same fun factor as a mk2 gti that can return that kind of mpg.

Its a 21 year old golf with 143k on the clock, I doubt the mfa's that accurate.. Calculate it yourself I bet its different!

Very impressive! (It works out to a shade under 47mpg when calculated from your numbers). Seems the MFA is pretty close too. Digi 8v I presume?
Im always pleased when I fill mine and see around 38mpg from fun run use only.

Mine at the mo does roughly 100miles to £20 (£1.35 at the pump), MFA shows 99.9
She could do better but she likes to stretch her legs when i take her out
