lol think that was my suggestion....

i've done it myself, easy job, just open the boot take the 3 little covers of and undo the nuts, mine was also bonded on, just give it a bit of force but be carefull not to damage the glass.

go to halfords and get a pack of the assorted grommits think the 9 mm one fill the holes perfectly, also get the pack with the larger ones in and do your rear wiper while your at it, (not sure if you have done this already?)

i did try to use the nut covers to plug the holes but it didnt look right to me, the grommits look much neater imo.

its all reversible and costs a couple of quid! nothing to lose

I'm currently pondering on getting my spoiler sprayed or changing to a CL rear screen...

Cl rear screen is the better option but not cheap.

Surely picking up another base spec tailgate / rear screen from a breakers or ebay shouldn't cost much at all. Then I guess it's just a case of getting an auto glass company to swap them over. How much do you reckon they'd charge for that kind of thing?  :undecided:

It is bonded in, I was quoted £50 and that was a while ago.

I aint to fussed about 3 tiny gromits in the rear glass. Not like they are going to be noticable.

Although it is worth noting that boats do tend to sink when you put holes in them.
