Cash for scrap metal
« on: 19 June 2011, 23:13 »
Have some old suspension from when I upgraded to coilovers, and was wondering how much would I get roughly from a scrap metal place? Its quite weighty.

Anyone know?

doubt you'll get much for suspension. I think for a car shell you get about £150. So for some shocks you'll probably get a few quid...Not worth it.

Mate, you get so much more if you actually strip it yourself!
My mates and industrial sparky and collects off cuts of the hench copper cable, he gets around £400 whenever he takes it in, he usually has about 4 of those Halfords delivery boxes full

Most places probably wouldn't pay you, I came in with copper and mild steel, they just let me chuck the mild steel in there skip. It's like £1000 ton, so 10kg gets a quid lol
