Agreed, i did actually pay 7 grand in 1999 for a mint J reg 16v with 60k on the clock  :lipsrsealed:

There is a garage in burlescombe near cullompton in devon that had a very tidy looking 16v mk2 in grey outside for sale (£1500), i would have stopped to look but i was in a hurry.

That mk2 is awesome, £7k is nuts really but you would never find another with low miles and that condition.
