Sounds to me like coilovers would be better for you - choose you own ride height

I've heard the FK street coilover kit, which is £50 more than the eibach springs, is quite a comfortable ride for a set of cheap coilovers.

Nope as that would put your gearing out.

Depends, any lowering will result in a harsher ride as your shorten travel etc.
