Kudos, they are great cars, I had a Mini Cooper S JCW GP - it was a cracker and wiped the floor with the R32 that I had at the time as my daily motor

Mine only had two seats though

oh so a BINI.
A mate at work just swopped his golf for a Cooper S clubman
Don't see why its a weekend car only though and the golf the daily. Think i would have went more extreme or exotic or older.

Hope you will be very happy together, mind you it's a bone numbingly hard ride you get from a Mini so if you lose all your teeth before too long don't come crying to us

Ha ha, yes well that is why it is the weekend car.

I've racked up 42k miles on the GTI in less than 2 years (2 years in September). I'm hoping to keep the mileage down on the MINI so hence the 'weekend' car status. You are right that the car isn't very exotic but I find it great fun to drive (the most fun I have ever had in a car) so it does the job for me.

But as Gilly wisely says, the GTI will provide some welcome comfort when I'm needing a rest :)

Why do you want to keep the mileage down on the GTI? If its resale cost your worried about surely you would have been better off not spending ALL that money on a Mini?

I'm not bothered about the Mileage on the GTI hence it will be used most of the time.

Keeping the mileage down on the MINI is not really to do with keeping the value of the car but more to do with just keeping the car that bit fresher for longer. I just want to keep it good.

Nice choice Pingu - they are littel pocket rockets

We will waive the GTI rules this once so that we can have some photo porn of the new motor :)
