Some things listed in this thread are very rare in the US but just uncommon in the EU. Like the anni bits and pieces. Plenty of them around the EU but I don't think the US ever got the anni model so any anni parts have to be imported.
Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3

Regular ones don't usually have a seatbelt warning lamp, is your car an import?

Cars not an import. R reg GTI 8v from Wayside VW new in 1998.

Admittedly the light only works now and again but its there.

Maybe the previous owner fitted it as I have a few OEM extras on my car and tasteful mods life boot struts fitted to lift bonnet etc.
