Them German plates??????

OK.Drove by a markIII on sunday M1 Barnsley.He had the german style plate front and rear.Now I kinda like em and am fancying a pair
for the bus.What I wanna know is,are they cool or will I look a tw4t.....If cool should the rear be white like the markIII,(white front and rear) or yellow rear plate to please plod?....reply just....tw4t or cool.

I think they look cool as, even with the yellow on the rear and white on the front :smiley:

Ah JV,I have a cunning plan.I live in Doncaster and as u proberbly know next weekend is "Ripspeed Donny"..So I reckon flat foot will have his desk full of paperwork for the next year pulling over all the novas n stuff,so gonna fit em after the event.It,ll take em months to push billy corsa bollox thru the books giving me a summer of hassle free deutsche plate nonsense..woooohoooooo  :laugh:

If you do have german plates fitted then carry a set of road legal original ones in the boot.

Then when you get pulled over and he says they're not road legal you can say you were just at a show and forget to change them back before leaving, get the "legal" ones out of the boot and start to change them there and then.

Most coppers will let you off with a slapped wrist.

To be honest to the casual observer and most bobbies they'll just glance and think you're actually driving a german registered car!

Thats a grand idea ridgers.I did the same with my jeep wrangler.back plate was totally illegal for 5 yrs,not one pull but kept originals just in case.yeah Horney u could  be right.I also heard a rumour that speeding tickets were dumped cos they can,t be bothered with the hassle for foreign tourists??....Right thats it,roofbars are on,seats removed and one smelly veggie mate in tow.I,m off to cornwall for a surf..laters all

Have these plates on my car. was pulled 5 mins after i put them on  :angry: Still not changed them and have had no bother since. look great IMO

V Nice,just the look I was aiming for.I bought an historic WOB plate from some german guy off ebay.It comes with the vw wolfsburg frame.gonna use the frame for the new rear plate.I notice you have some on Frosticles.Did u need to drill the frames on??
