I have had a lot of dealings with Awesome over last 20 years. Jim Cotton is a top fella.  You dont stay in business that long if you are not doing something right.  Would have no problem recommending them

It would cost £100000s to have all items in stock and keep there prices low, most companies who run online shops only hold limited stock.

true but at the end of the day thats how you make money, by stocking alot. i just think the website should say when an item is in stock and/or when it will arrive. if one customer cancelled the order (me)! i expect alot of others have aswell!

Hi there,

Firstly I'd like to apologise for you not having received an e-mail with regards to the item not being in stock and any information on how long they usually take to arrive.
We do sometimes have issues with 'Non-ISP/Company' e-mail accounts such as Yahoo or Hotmail putting our e-mails automatically into the Trash and marking them as Spam.

However, please remember, when it comes to things such as the PCD Adapters, We deal with the following PCD Changes
* 4x100 -> 5x100
* 4x100 -> 5x130
* 5x100 -> 5x112
* 5x100 -> 5x120
* 5x100 -> 5x130
* 5x112 -> 5x100
* 5x112 -> 5x130

For each of these PCD Conversions we do: 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 35mm.
That's 7x Conversions and 5x Sizes. In an ideal world we'd want to keep two sets of each in stock, this would mean having 70 pairs of PCD adapters in stock and on
the shelf which most certainly in the current economic climate wouldn't be financially viable considering they aren't particularly a strong seller and when they do sell, out of 11 sets sold since January, we've only ever done one combination of sizes/pcd's more than just the one time.

Anyway, enough of the 'Business sense' side of things:
Normally with FK we can expect to receive the Adapters within a 10 day window which isn't too bad for a Special order item coming from Germany!

As for charging you before we have got them in stock. This is a standard business practice seen pretty much everywhere. I don't know of many companies who will take a special order without full payment in advance or at least a deposit.

If you could PM Me with your full name or Order Number, I will personally look into the order and find out it's exact status and get back to you with an idea of how long it will be.

Sorry for any Inconvenience caused,
Regards, AL.
Awesome Ltd.

P.S. Thank you for all the kind words from our previous customers on here.

Hi awesome, thanks for writing on here I really appreciate it. I'm not trying to give you a bad name at all, your a great company. I've now got some adaptors as I could get them next day. Even though they were a little dearer, your definitely the cheapest around! The only reason why I thought it was a little odd that you took my payment is because my company order without payment, so it's what I'm used to! It was wrong of me to go on a rant but as you said money's tight these days so I just thought I'd get a bit of advice as it was the first time I've ordered from you! Dw it hasn't put me off I'll definately be ordering from you again!

No worries mate :) Give me a shout if you do ever need to order anything and I'll make sure that we get you sorted out and let you know if something isn't in stock.

Kind regards, Al.

Fair play Al, good to see businesses going out to resolve an issue without taking the 'jobs worth' approach. You have inspired me to check your website with any future purchases I require!  :wink: :smiley:
