Is it bots signing up I presume? Just a simple question like "How many letters are there in GTI" placed in the sign up form to prove it's a human signing up.

Or something like the Enhanced Captcha script?

I don't reckon it's automated. Well a lot of them are, some of them though are far too good! Have found a good sign up mod though so going to install that and see if things improve

Its very simple as well.

Yeah it's going to be a package to protect sites like forums and blogs from the wrong type spider bots and spam bots.
