how much are we talking for a remap? and what gains would i be looking at?

and whats the prices ?

Sorry dude, your car isn't in my area of knowledge, I'll talk to Nick in the morning regarding your car and let you know what he thinks would be best along with recognising your turbo type

Our prices start at £275 but golf gti forum members get a hefty discount, all I ask in return for this discount is a small donation to the forum charity

cheers mate, i know the later models where the k03s an the earlier the k03 but from what i know, mines on the cross over at 2000 X' reg ??.. so unsure as to what mine would be.. hopefully they can tell me..  like i said before, it was registered in october 2000 if that helps..

Hi There,

My name is Nick and i'm a colleague of Craigs (The Doc)

I deal with the 'performance tuning' side of Carbon - www.carbon-chiptuning.co.uk

Could do with a couple of bits of info to work out what Turbo you've got in your Golf and ultimately what we can offer you...........

Firstly, whats your Engine Code?

Secondly, is the car 'Drive by wire' (if you're not sure, have a look under the bonnet for a throttle cable or the absence of one!)

FYI: The earlier K03 cars usually make between 180-190HP

The later K03S cars more like 200-210HP

Please note the above figures are referenced from our Dyno Dynamics rolling road (affectionately known as 'The heartbreaker' due to its brutal honesty!!)

Any further tech questions please feel free to email nick@carbonst.com

Cheers,

Nick

Craig, do you think you can ask Nick what kind of gains could be expected on a Mk1 Seat Leon Cupra R? The 225bhp version with the BAM engine found in the Audi S3

Hi Dom,

Hope you are keeping well........

LCR 225PS with 'BAM' should see 260HP No problem

Please feel free to email nick@carbonst.com or give me a call on 07825 215 003 if you want any more info......

Take it easy,

Nick

cheers mate, mines just had a new clutch fitted and gear cable, and a full service..

5w40 fully synthetic oil
oil filter
fuel filter
spark plugs
mass air flow sensor
double piston/split forged dump valve - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORGE-SPLITTER-SPLIT-R-DUMP-VALVE-BOV-VW-GOLF-GTI-1-8T-/320598129613?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4aa5233bcd#ht_2214wt_948

and just in the middle of sorting an air filter out but unsure whether to go for a good panel filter (K&N/Pipercross) or an induction kit?

any recommendations  ?

what else should i do?

gunna get the cambelt done and possibly the other belts whilst its up and the water pump.. (just for piece of mind!)
