Managed to borrow an ECU, same as the one photographed above from someone locally (I have to replace it)

Fuel pump primes and then stops which is now right but the idle control valve is running constantly, is that normal?

Car still won't start, got the plugs out at the moment as its damp in there...

Don't seem to have a very good spark, anyone got any suggestions?

Yeah you probably right, will put a blow torch on them and see if that improves things once I have let everything dry out a bit...

Pretty sure the isv can stick sometimes, take it apart and cleaning it out may make it go off when it's suppose to.

Finally got the car started, took all the plugs out and put an airline down the holes,  heated the plugs up - still no joy

Wasn't getting a spark so started checking other stuff, turns out that the ignition module on the ecu bracket on the ecu I borrowed was no good, put the original one back on and it started straight away.

Just need to do an oil and filter change as the oil smells a bit of petrol after the original ecu failed and completely flooded the engine.

I had this happen on a breakdown I attended once, pulled out a plug and the injector had stuck open,  lots of fuel, hot engine bay, flames, oh f**k. Thank you Mr fire extinguisher!!!!!
